Outlook 2003 - email delay

I'm on a local LAN running Exchange Server and also Outlook 2003 for the
client machines. When a person on the local LAN sends me an email, I get it
almost instantly after they click their SEND button. But when I send an email
to them, there is a minute or so delay. We are all running Exchange accounts
(not POP3 accounts) on our Outlook clients. Is there a setting that needs to
be changed on the other computers that would eliminate this delay in message
receipt?

That is because they are in Cached Exchange Mode. I would suggest that you
leave this on since it would provide extra functionality to your Outlook
configuration and also because of network and recovery reasons. Note that
the maximum delay is always 60 seconds so it would still be near real-time
;-)
