Outlook 2003 HELP

I'm going to type this as best as I can...

I am a blackberry user...I recieve my pop3 email via Outlook 2003 and my
Blackberry...On occasion, more frequently then not, I don't get my messages
on my Blackberry, because Outlook 2003 is not leaving a copy of the message
on my pop3 server...I checked the box in Outlook 2003 to leave a copy of the
messages on my server and when I come back a couple of minutes to hours
later, realizing my Blackberry hasn't gone of with any emails, I go back into
email options and the box gets unchecked !!!!!!
is there a known issue and/or fix for this??
