Outlook 2003 issues

I did a search and know this must be here somewhere, but
could not find it. With most actions within Outlook from
Office 2003, I get a Windows Installer window, with the
message, "Preparing to Install" -- Is there any way to fix
this, or do I wait for an update?

I am not happy with this new version. Too much stuff on
the screen that cannot be simplified.
