Outlook 2003 Mail: First name field not displaying

D

darthhen

Hi,

I'm running Outlook 2003.

Recently, my company switched the "Display" name format to last "name, first
name" So in Outlook, all the E-mails coming from my coworkers is shown with
last name first in the "From" field. I tried to add "First Name" in the field
choser. But when I do this, this field is empty in Outlook. It seems like
Outlook thinks the first name doen't exist.

Is there a way to display the First Name in Outlook Mail?

Thanks.

The Email Display As field is not subject to user control. Clarify what your
company did. Clarify to which view you are referring.

In Outlook 2003 contacts are sorted properly i.e. Last Name, First Name. I
set this in

Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change…

But clicking on the "To" button in an email message brings up contacts
sorted as First Name, Last Name. Where is this one changed?

Since there is no such option in Outlook, you need to post more accurately.
You have only two options for sorting the Outlook Address Book and they are:
1. First, Last
2. File As
Any sort changes you make require a restart.
