Issue 1-- Public Folders: We have an exchange 2003 windows 2003 server
running. When accessing public folders from Outlook 2003 on Windows XP
SP 1a PC, I can not change permissions, although I'm in every group
except administrators and have full rights to administer public folders.
All I get is a summary of the permissions and that it shows me as a
"reviewer" vs. "owner". If I run esm on the server, I see I am an
"owner". What's up with that? Worked fine in exchg2000, windows 2000
server and windows xp client.
Issue 2-- Outlook Security Settings Folder and Template: I created in
exchange 2000 a public folder called Outlook Security Settings with a
post in it called Security Group. This post is a template used to set
security for a specified group of users with an accounting program to
access Outlook to send mail "behind the scenes" for alerts to users
about projects. I was able to create, access the template post
previously just fine. Now when I tried to modify and save it, I get an
error-- Microsoft Office Outlook ...The access levels on this security
setting cannot be saved, probably because of an invalid password. This
setting is currently set as a default setting for all users. You should
either delete the setting or save it again, and type the correct
password. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this
operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system
administer. Geez, I am the folder "owner", yet with I view properties,
it only shows me as a "reviewer"?! Ack... any ideas?
Thanks!
