Outlook 2003 Send/Receive Dialog Box Problem

Scott

In Outlook 2003, whenever I have Outlook minimized to the tray the
send/receive box pops up everytime it checks my email. I only have 2
accounts, and there are never any errors so I can't figure out why it is
popping up even though I have the box checked to hide the send/receive box.
Any idea how to stop this from popping up everytime? Thanks.

If you choose Tools - Send/Receive - Send/Receive Settings - Show
Progress... is "Don't show this dialog box..." checked?

If that's checked, and you're still getting the Outlook Send/Receive
Progress dialog box, then I would think there might be a registry settings
problem. Try unchecking the "Don't Show..." box, closing Outlook, restarting
Outlook, and then re-checking the "Don't Show..." box.

(At first, I thought perhaps you were referring to the notification popup by
the system tray, which is controlled by Tools - Options - Prefernces tab -
EMail Options button - Advanced E-Mail Options, Display a New Mail Desktop
Alert and Desktop Alert Settings.)
