Outlook 2007 Issues

Recently, I have been having small issues in Outlook.
First one, for this post, is now I am NOT getting the line through the email
item when I hit the delete key... Sometimes it shows up, other times it
doesn't... but if I enter into another inbox, then go back to the other
inbox, the email goes away.
Anyone have a suggestion, reason why this just recently started to happen?
It is pretty annoying, and a little waste of time trying to delete a mail
more than once because u don't see any line thru it..

I assume this is an IMAP account; 'Tools|Account Settings|Change|More
Settings' uncheck the "Purge items when switching folders while online"
checkbox.

Hi Hal:

Thx for responding... But I DO want the mails to be deleted when I switch
folders.
The problem is when I right click on a mail, then choose DELETE, I do not
get the line going through the item as if it were deleted.... Why do I
sometimes see the line, and other times I do not....

AND.. I DO KNOW even if it does not have a line that it really is deleted
because when I do switch to a diff folder then go back to the previous
folder, the mail is gone... (as it should be with the purge mail item box
checked..)

The strikethrough line comes from the IMAP server (rather, the client adds
this line in response to the server marking the message as deleted). I've
noticed that this isn't always picked up immediately. I have an IMAP
account setup in both Windows Mail and in Outlook 2007; if I have both
opened to my IMAP inbox and mark the message deleted in one of the two
clients, it can sometimes take minutes for the other client to reflect the
change in status. I suspect these messages whose status doesn't change
actually would change if you waited a while.
