Outlook 2007 Password Issue

Hi everyone. I hope all is well. I made a previous post about this, I figured
that it may have been lost in the amount of posts here. I have an issue with
Outlook 2007 that it is sending the wrong password on the smtp
authentication. Here's the run down of what I have done so far:

1. Deleted account and recreated it.
2. No anti-virus installed and no firewalls running
3. Tried the registry trick that works for Outlook 2003(even though I was
not hopeful that it would work here, but it was worth a shot)
4. No extra plugins running on Outlook( in fact the first time running
Outlook and setting up the account it started this off the bat.)
5. The machine is actually running on a domain and made sure that the person
has admin privledges on the domain as well.

2 seperate machines doing the same thing on both. Just to throw something
else in the mix, there was another instance where this was happening with the
same problem but no domain. Just a workstation and the registry trick from
Outlook 2003 worked in that instance but not here.

I made sure that the password is typed correctly. This is a fresh machine
directly out of the box that came with Office 2007 installed on it. The mail
server that it is trying to authenticate with is a mail server that I
administer. For some reason Outlook seems to be changing the password
somehow. I can't tell what it is changing it to, but when I change this
particular account temporarily to accept any password it does successfully
log in.

I have seen some other posts that there has been issues with authenticating
properly with Hotmail, but haven't seen many about this issue. My client
would really like to use Outlook 2007 but if we can't get a solution we might
be forced to use a different client.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a patch or a fix that I can
try that I might have over looked? I even tried emailing Microsoft directly
but since this machine came from an OEM they are just going to send my client
to them. There definitely seems to be an issue. By the way, this is happening
on 2 separate machines and both have Office 2007 on them. Both machines are
fresh from the OEM. Thank you for any assistance you might be able to provide.
