Outlook 2007 strange table in new emails

Maciek_K

Hi all,

I have this problem since I've upgraded my Office to 2007 version:

When I am creating a new e-mail the text field isn't empty (as it
should be), there is an empty table in it.

I am not using signatures.

Have You got any idea how to get rid of that table from new emails?

Thanks,
Maciej

look for normalemail.dot or dotm and rename it to .old with OUtlook and Word closed.

Did you make sure you exited Outlook before renaming the file? Did you
search for NormalEmail.dotm? Was there more than once occurrence of the
file?

Were all the office applications closed? Also I know in 2003 if you used
Word as the e-mail editor that would have an effect.

Yes, everything was closed. I managed to change the file name.

It's all very strange, my 3 collegues have the same problem after
upgrade, and the othe two has not...

Since Outlook 2007 no longer uses Word as its email editor it shouldn't
matter if Word is running or not. Is it possible that it's a Signature
that's being inserted? Check Tools/Options and on the Mail Format tab, click
Signatures to see if this is the case. While you can't create a table in a
signature you can copy/paste a table in the Signature text box or it could
be an image.
