Outlook 2007 suddenly can't login to server

Hi. Am helping a church staff member who has run Vista with Outlook 2007
since early spring. Suddenly today, Outlook cannot log into the POP3 server.
All other email programs can. Other staff members in church with XP are
working fine.

Symptom: repeatedly asks for username and password. Send/Receive Progress
gives error 0x800CCC92 . Says server rejected login.

I have removed the email account login info and recreated it. No help.
