I recently had to replace a bad hard drive. I was able to save
everything. I don't know much about Outlook (97), so I saved the Notes
into a Word file. Now I can't find the Word file and figure that my
only hope of getting my Notes back is in the archive.pst file. An
archive was done shortly before the old drive was removed.
I used both File>Open Special Folder>Personal Folders (then chose the
file on the C: drive) and the File>Import and Export>Import from a
Personal Folder File (.pst). With the first one, it appears to work,
then I'm looking at a screen labeled Personal Folders. There is text
that says, "This folder contains subfolders. To see the items in the
subfolders, click the name of the folder above or display the folder
list, and then click a subfolder." When I go up to the button that
says Personal Folders and has an arrow beside it, I push it and can't
find my old Notes folder anywhere.
When I use the File>Import and Export>Import from a Personal Folder
File (.pst), I then put in the file path and choose "Allow Duplicates
to be Created", I then am asked what folder to import from, I can only
choose from Calendar, Deleted Items, Journal, and Tasks. No Notes.
Please help me find out how to get to my Notes. Thank you in advance!
