Outlook "Advanced Find" not working

When I try to use "advanced find," no dialogue box
appears. Under the program group on my task
bar, "advanced find" appears to be open, but it will not
actually appear. Any thoughts?

See if Detect and Repair does anything for you. It is under Help-> Detect
and Repair. In older versions of Outlook you must goto your Add/Remove
Programs screen select Office and select to repair from there by pressing
the Change button
