I've searched online for a few of the solutions... it's definetly not a
security problem..but it sort of is.

Lemme just get down to it. I tried going to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security and
changing the folder, I was thiking i'd change it to the desktop so i'd
remember to delete the file when i finished... but when i used regedit
to get to that folder...there is no Security folder.

I click the outlook folder and htere are no subfolders.

any suggestions?

Solutions for what?

The registry doesn't have folders. It has keys. A key won't be present if no value in it has ever been set.

oh, i'm sorry... I suppose i didn't quite say what my problem was...my
problem is that I cannot download attachments. and the two common
answers are : change the folder from the registry (the error message i
get DOES say it can't find the file in the temp internet files... hence
why i figured that saving to desktop would allow them to not get
accidentally deleted when i dump temp files) or changing security
settings. I decided to try the registry but noticed that there is no
security folder...which seemed odd. but i suppose it's nothing. i'll
find another way.

Can't download what attachments? With what symptoms?
