Outlook Caused General Protection Fault in Module GDI.EXE

I have outlook 2000 using Windows 2000 ME,
Have 320K Ram in my notebook.

I have to reboot to unlock.

Does anyone know why I get this error msg.

Looks like I may run out of memory???

Do I need to purchase the latest XP operating system and
the latest Microsoft Office applications.

I'm using Microsoft Office 2000 for small business.
