Runtime causes GPF in GDI.exe

When I run my application under the Access 2002 Runtime on a Windows 98
computer, I sporadically get an error message that says something like
"MSACCESS has caused a general protection fault in GDI.exe." I can restart
the computer and everything will be OK for a while, and then I will get the
same error again.

I have both the Access 2002 Runtime and Access 2000 installed on this
computer. I can run my application under the installed Access 2000 and it
runs without causing the error. (The error occurs after my application has
been converted from a 2000 .mdb file to a 2002 .mde file and run under the
2002 Runtime.)

Has anyone else experienced this, or have a recommendation?

Thanks,
BobV

Interesting that this happens in the MDE/runtime but not the MDB full
version. Nevertheless I'd suggest updating the video driver.

I'm wondering if your video driver is up to date. Maybe it's too up
to date. I was having problems with one video card when I had the
latest drivers installed. I uninstalled them and installed the latest
Windows Certified drivers they had which were about six months or a
year older. And things run much smoother.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check to see if there is an update for the
video driver.
