Outlook changes some of the font in an email after it is sent.

When creating, replying or forwarding an email, it looks perfectly fine with
the correct font etc - but when you look at the sent item, parts of the email
have changed font size.

This is happening to my users also.

Lots of people on here have posted about it but no one has replied with an
answer!

HELP!

My user's sent mails are having chunks of the text increase in font size
randomly.

Did anyone ever respond to you? Or did you ever figure out how to make the
problem stop happening?

Hello, we are having the EXACT same problems and there are no know fixes that
ive been able to find at this time. Lots of people screaming about it and
nothing seems to be getting worked out.

Seems to be different versions and combinations of server software affected.

Microsoft???? Can you comment?

I have a user with the same problem. Can't find anything on the Web about
this one. Can't find anything on Usenet. Can't find anything here. My user
is going insane here, and so am I. How about a response, MS?

MS employees rarely visit this newsgroup. This IS Usenet, by the way, and
there are other postings on this subject. Google Groups locates them.

Sorry if my frustration did not translate in your head, Brian. I'm QUITE
aware that this is Usenet and I'm very well versed on what it is and how it
works and who visits regularly.

Right now I'm looking for any help at all on this topic from anyone who
would care to offer a helpful, constructive response.

Over the past several months I've done extensive Web searches, MS KB
searches, Google Groups searches, and plain ol' plain text no-frills Usenet
searches. This group, by the way, is the only place that I've found to even
mention that anyone else besides my sole, frustrated user is having this
issue. This is not a font settings issue. This is not a user error. This
is not an Outlook Express issue. This is a bona-fide Outlook or Exchange bug
(and I'm leaning ever so slightly toward Exchange or AD since I have had this
user try Outlook 2000 and 2003 and even went as far as swapping out her PC).

That is why, dear Brian, I resurrected this thread. If you have a solution
for me, I'm all ears (or eyes, if you will).

We converted to Outlook and Exchange last year, and are experiencing this
problem as well. It was a relief to see this thread, because you tend to
think it's something you're not doing correctly. I hope MS comes out with a
fix soon!

I concur. I also have users with this problem. While there is an awful lot of
discussion regarding it I am yet to see anyone with a solution. Even if the
answer is "there is no solution, it's just anoher little software quirk so
deal with it".

Sorry to say the cure lasted a day then came back.... Has anyone calles
Microsoft support?

It's starting to get really annoying for my clients and I cant do
anything! Hope someone has a fix.

We have a few users too who are getting this peculiar problem including
myself which annoyingly alway sseems to occur when I send all staff emails.
Has anyone from Microsoft acknowledged this problem yet, or even better
posted a fix?

I'm having a font problem too. It started when I upgraded my AVG software ad
couple of weeks ago. After the upgrade when updating I would get a message
saying to 'close Outlook so the update could complete'. I had never gotten
this message before, only got it a couple of times and am no longer getting
it. But this is when the font problem started. I am using MS Word as the
editor and when I reply to emails the font is an 8 even though it says it's a
14. I have to set the font at 26 at least to see the message to reply and
then hopefully remember to put it back to the 14 or the recepient gets the
huge font.

This is extremely annoying and I don't know what to do. I uninstalled AVG
but that did not fix it. Now I see others have been having this problem for
months so I guess we're all just out of luck.

I am running WXP, SP 2, IE and am using AVG as mentioned for antivirus
program and the Kerio firewall, both the free versions. I've tried to
register for the AVG forums but can't, just keep getting a blank page.

Any ideas when this might be addressed by the powers that be?

Disable scanning of your messages with AVG.

We have just recently experienced this problem and have come to this site for
assistance. Did anyone ever find a resolution? Did this problem go away in
Outlook 2007? Only one of our users is experiencing this and it isn't
consistant so I can't recreate it or test it.

Thank you for any assistance!
