Outlook configuration

I am using Outlook for email. When I respond to a message, Outlook
formats the message in HTML and top-posts the response. I would like
my email to show up in standard Usenet style, in plain text with the
reply bottom-posted.

I have tried playing with the configuration of Outlook. I set the
following values:

Tools -> Options -> Preferences -> Email Options -> When replying to a
message = "Prefix each line of the original message", Prefix each line
with = ">"

Tools -> Options -> Mail format -> Compose in this message format =
"Plain text"

I could not find an option to top-post the original message, and with
the settings described above Outlook does not prefix the lines of the
original message with ">" ... instead it is still formatting everything
in html.

Any suggestions?

What version of Outlook? Reason I ask is that you can set the message reply
to Plain Text using Outlook 2003 and the Read As Plain Text option.
Tools->Options->Email Options.

As for the quoting, I actually prefer the top posting as it saves me time
since I already know what was originally posted. However, for those who
prefer bottom posting (blech, spit, icky, nyah) - um, where was I... Oh,
yes, for those who prefer top posting, you can try this free utility called,
interestingly enough, Outlook QuoteFix.
