To start, mail merges have been nothing but a headache for me since
upgrading from 2000 to Office 2003. First it was a MAPI conflict between
Eudora 6.1 and Outlook Express, which I resolved by making O.E. my default
e-mail client when doing mail merges in Word. This worked the last time I
had to do mail merges.
Now, when doing a mail merge (letters), I select Profile Name: Outlook
Internet Settings (the only one available), and another message pops up
saying "Unable to obtain list of tables from data source".
In Outlook, in the Contacts Properties, the tab "Outlook Address Book" is
selected to "Show as an e-mail address book" so it should show up as an
address book in Word 2003.
Where am I going wrong? This Merge feature is a headache in MS Word 2003.
Thanks, Bob
