Outlook.dll problem

I have just upgraded to Office 2003. When I open Outlook I get an error
message which gives a path to outlook.dll and says it is not a valid Office
Addin. Also I can't open Word docs attached to emails. I get a message that
says Application not found. I can open other non Office attachments though.
Are these two errors connected and how do I rectify them?

Solved the opening Word docs file types list reference to "doc" was
corrupted. Still get error message about dll file on opening Outlook though

Solved the problem! I re-installed the Personal Folders backup and it got
rid of the message.
