Outlook Does Not Shutdown Properly

N

Noel

I had an email with a large attachment that was sent. It hung in the Otbox. I
deleted it in the Send/Receive maintenance. Now after I exit Word it won't
start up using the desktop icon. The system has to be rebooted. The message
about Word not shutting down properly appears. This is the Option of Safe
Mode yes or no. Either selection Word comes up. But after x'ing out or
exiting Word the next attempt fail. Click on the icon and nothing happens.
The system has to be rebooted. How can I correct this? How can I go back to a
previous image?

Hi Noel

Problems of this kind are created because Outlook is using Word as the
editor for emails. And the problem is caused by Outlook, not by Word.

I suggest you ask your question in one of the Outlook newsgroups.

Hope this helps.
