Outlook email problem

I have Professional Office 97. I have just upgrade from
Windows 98 to Windows XP. Now I am receiving email on
Outlook from many but not all senders that arrives not as
a readable message but a text document attachment. How
can I configure Outlook to display all emails normally?

I don't know if this will solve yout problem, but I've seen posts describing
problems with Outlook after upgrading from Win98 to XP without reinstalling
Outlook.
