Outlook Express - Losing my Inbox on open

For the second time in two weeks, I have opened Outlook
Express only to see that I have an Empty Inbox. I know
that I must have had at least 100 emails saved in there,
and yet it showed none, then I got a welcome to Outlook
Express Email as if I just signed up for OE. To make
things worse, I clicked on my "sent" bin and viewed a
bunch of my sent emails, then when I shut OE down and
restarted, they too, were gone! What is happening??? I
appreciate any support! Thanks!

these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).
