Outlook Express Opens for one Identity but not the other

I have a cable connection and my email running through outlook express. Just
recently I went to open my identity and as soon as it opened outlook express
was not responding. I was able to go to Program Files/Outlook Express and
open my address book and switch the identity to my wife's email same isp and
email provider. As soon as i did that i was able to log on to her account
and send and recieve emails everything was fine. My identity still does not
work. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or if i log in to my wife's idetity
and export to outlook will it export my identity as well as emails, folder
etc...
Oh and i am running anti-virus protection with email scan and a firewall as
well.
