hi
Exchange server 2003 on Windows Std server 2003, with Outlook 2003
I have a user that runs in exchange mode without problem while at the
office. When connected to our vpn, it says 'trying to connect', connected,
then 2 seconds later, 'disconnected'. He has turned off Zone Alarm.
Taking the laptop out, we setup a sonicwall firewall vpn that he attaches to
using their client. Pings work fine by address, etc. I turned on
netbios/wins etc to talk to the internal company network. He cannot ping
devices inside by name and other vpn users can, so I had him add the
internal names in the 'hosts' file.
No help, still does not connect.
Funny thing is, it worked ONE time. He tried 6 times to connect after
reboots. It worked after the first reboot for one time. He can ping
internal addresses, the vpn shows as connected (obviously).
What else can cause the 'disconnected' message like this?
