Outlook keeps picking up old emails

Hi everyone, first post and im sure it wont be my last. :)

I got a problem with Outlook 2003 in that it keeps picking up ol
emails. It happens every so often and I get about 20/30 emails whic
are duplicates.

It may have something to do with the fact that I leave messages on th
server for 5 days - before they are deleted - as Im on a network. Doe
anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem

For what it's worth;
I am running Outlook 2002 as mailagent and the same occurs to ma (at
random). I get the amount of mail that is still on the server and it is
being out in my Inbox again.

I asked several times in different groups and no one could give me a
solution besides the suggestion that I probably was accessing the POP3
server of my ISP with 2 different mail agents (Outlook).

I keep my mails on the server to access them while I am on the road and read
them with a webmail application.

I hope someone will solve this !

I hope so too.

I leave them on there to access from different pcs and once they hav
been received they shouldnt in theory be downloaded again. Every s
often I have to delete anyhting from 20 to 70 emails depending on ho
many there are on the server going back 5 days.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Any solutions?

How does the process actually work as it must obviously be recognisin
the emails as new or the mail agent as new

There is a tic mark that you have to remove in your mail server
configuration. It spécifiy if you want to keep a copy of the mail on the
server and for how long you want to keep them
