Outlook mail merge works as plain text but not as html

I have Outlook 2002 and Word 2002. When I do a mail merge to plain text,
everything is fine. If I choose html, I see the progress at the bottom of the
screen but no messages are in the outbox.

I have another computer with Outlook 2002 and Word 2002 and on that one I
can do html and plain text mail merges just fine.

I've tried for the last two to find out what the difference might be but I
haven't found any. A Google search indicates other people have had the same
problem with this version and other versions of Outlook but no one has found
a solution. If you've found one, please let me know.
