I'm diagnosing a problem for my boss. He gets an email ( in HTML
format ) which contains a link to an Excel spreadsheet on a webserver.
He clicks on the link, his screen flashes for a second. And nothing
else happens.
What I expected after the click is for IE to pop-up with the
spreadsheet displayed within it's frame.
He sent the email to me and when I click on it, it behaves exactly as
I expected.
Here's the rub, if he has an IE window already open and he clicks on
the link ( in the email message), it appears in the existing IE window.
The problem only occurs when there is no IE window already open.
Can anyone help?
