outlook not responding

when i go and open outlook i get a screen that says
outlook is unavailable.and then it says don't send or
send to microsoft. i keep recieving this message. what is
happening

I did, no success.
I have XP PRO and Outlook 2003.
All SP applied and Office 2003 updated.
I tried disabling of McAfee, no success.
Some emails come in, some don't.
Usually it stops at about 75% downloaded.
Then it stops responding and I end the program.
After checking again, I have every received email twice in my in box.
Checking my RoadRunner email works fine with Express though.
Any ideas?

Control Panel->Mail Icon->Show Profiles?

Probably because your ISP doesn't allow large attachments, you have a slow
connection, or any one of any unnamed other problems, none of which you
stated in your initial e-mail.

i have outlook express and i don't know where detect and
repair are. on windows xp

I noticed a similiar issue on a new User account I created
in Windows XP. I gave the account Administrator Rights
and the problem went away.

Just a guess.
