Outlook Only Works Once

Through a VPN Connection if I Create a new profile and
start outlook I can attach to my Exchange 2000 Server.
However if I then close and try to reopen it it will not
attach to the Exchange 2000 Server.

What happens when you try? Do you get an error message? What version of
Outlook? What operating system?
