Outlook, Outlook Express

B

Bruce E

I would like to use Outlook for Calendar and Contacts but
not for e-mail. I want to use Outlook Express for e-mail.
How can I turn off the email function in Outlook?
Thanks

Just don't add any e-mail accounts to Outlook, and make sure it's not set to
check for new mail automatically.

Oh, and also make sure Outlook Express is set as the default mail program in
Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs.

Cripes, 3 days and nobody has helped this poor guy? Simple Bruce,

Open IE and goto Tools Internet Options / Programs Tab. Select from the
appropriate drop-down tabs.
The email function can still work ineither app, so if when opening OE or
Outlook you are prompted to make it your default program forwhatever, answer
appropriately.

In OE you can also goto the settings and tick th box to make thia the
default app for email, etc. I also suggest setting both apps to open where
you want it to. Then set your icons up as you would use them.
