Outlook Password Question

Occasionally here and there randomly, I will get a message while working in
Outlook 2002 stating to insert a network password. Is this normal for
Outlook? I never do it because I don't know if this is normal nor do I know
what triggers it. When I don't enter a password, it will not connect to the
e-mail server, but when I go to send/receive to try again, it works. Any
ideas? Thanks. Is this simply just a security feature?

This happens to me. To my knowledge, it's a simple glitch between your
(usually) Internet Service Provider's (ISP) mail server (which isn't much
more than a computer box just like yours) that has been rebooted or
something. Just ignore it.
