Outlook problem - Mail failure notice

I need some help with Outlook.

I have just started experiencing problems with OUtlook. I sent an
email with a number of avi files attached (64MB). I received a failure
notice and since that time have been unable to use Outlook. When used
it now fires up but after a few seconds shows as not responding and
has to be shut down. Are this large files causing the problems and how
do I get rid of them ?

I am using MS Outlook on Windows XP professsional.
