I am on a stand alone PC runing Windows 98. Outlook was
running slow and hanging up trying to open a MS Word
attachment. I shut down the system. It shut down cleanly
and rebooted cleanly. However, when trying to open
Outlook after the reboot, I receive an error message
stating that the file Windows/Application
Data/Microsoft/Outlook/outlook.pst can not be opened.
Access denied. Using Explorer, I am able to look at the
properties for outlook.pst. It is a 90MB file and all
appears to be normal. Any ideas?
