My Outlook does not seem to want to come up properly and
attempts to "receive information from the server" which
is a 3-step process after almost every key stroke,
especially moving between folders such as inbox and sent
items. This is especially evident during daytime hours.
At night, every 2nd or 3rd attempt to access, Outlook
seems to work just fine.
I allowed my Outlook folder size to exceed 300mb, (3 gig)
but I believe I have the SP-1 service package installed.
I also reduced the size significantly (about 2 gig) last
night and the computer did go through a proper
send/receive to update the changes I made while off-line
and then on-line. I noticed an outlook .ost file in "My
documents". It is just over 3 gigs in size and shows that
I modify it every time I get into Outlook. Why is it
in "My documents"? Could this be part of the problem?
I also ran all the virus scan software and checked with
stingers. My PC appears to be clean.
