outlook slow to start

someone showed me how to make outlook start up faster several months
ago.
i had to re-create my user id and lost all settings so could you
please let me know how to do this again.

Note: i'll jot it down this time.

Are you using Outlook 2002? He probabaly disabled the
Messenger integration.
Tools-> Options-> tab Other.

Also when you are using a pst-file compacting could work
as well.
Rightclick Outlook Today-> Properties-> button
Advanced...-> button Compact Now

I hope this is what was done before! ;-)
