Outlook Stop Responding

I need help.
I have Office XP., every time I send an e-mail with
attachment, Outlook stop responding. Every time I receive
an e-mail with attachment, Outlook stop responding.
I am no using any more the "Preview Pane", but the
problem continues. If some of you can help me I will
appreciate so much. Thank You. Orlando
