Outlook stops receiving mail throughout the day

I run ms-exchange server and outlook express for several
mail accounts..both work ok, but outlook (my main email)
will stop receiving mail several times a day...I can send
mail ok....I can go to my ISP mail server and see mail
sitting there...send/rec won't bring mail in...if I close
outlook and reopen...everything works again.
Ideas anyone??
