Outlook tasks

What are the potential uses of Tasks in Outlook 2000? How
functional are they when tracking workflow etc?

Hi Steven,

While I don't think there is any document that tells you the specifics of
using tasks in this manner, I will give you my own impression of them.
Tasks are quite usefull in my own application as reminders, for both single
and recurring events. This is similar to creating an appointment with like
zero minutes of duration. Also, I can assign a tasks to someone, and
monitor their progress on it. However, there is not much in the way of
updates, or tracking of this. I can go view the original task, and see the
progress, but as for tracking, and workflow related items, Outlook does not
have this functionality built in. Journaling can be used for tracking
various things, but even it is not a true labor tracking system.
