Outlook Toolbar Issue

J

JCO

Using Outlook 2003. When I reply to my emails, a toolbar shows up. Text
reads "Attach As Adobe PDF".
The toolbar takes up to much room, because it is to large, therefore, it
pushes the normal toolbar underneath it.. I don't want this toolbar to show
up. Seldom do I need to use it. I've tried customize, but and uncheck the
PDF toolbar but it keeps coming back.

What can I do?

Hi All,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Newsgroups!

Based on my research, this issue might be caused by the Adobe addins in
Outlook, I suggest you disable this feature in register key to perform a
test.

Please search the value [OutlVisible] in the following register key ,and
change this value to 0 to disable this feature.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\PDFMaker\7.0\Outlook\AttachAsPDF

If you use the Adobe Acrobat 6.0, then this register key should be:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\PDFMaker\6.0\Outlook\AttachAsPDF

If you have anything unclear, please feel free to let me know.

Sincerely,
Warner Wang

I have the Adobe 7.3 Professional loaded. It creates a different toolbar
that is set to hide and it remains hidden. I just started using Office 2003
products. I assumed that toolbar to Attach as PDF was a new feature that is
part of Outlook 2003. Was I wrong assuming this.

I will review this in detail a bit later and review my registry settings. I
will let you know.
Thanks

Both items you mentioned, in the Registry, are set to zero.
I did not have to change it. The issue will be.... does something
inadvertently change the setting to "1". We will give it some time and I
will let you know.
Thanks again.
