I have Outlook 2000 on a computer with a Win98se system. Can I upgrade to
Outlook 2002 on the 98 system? If so, can I just install it and not lose
current addresses, mail, etc.?

No, Office XP will run on Windows 98 - I just did so on an older laptop.

Yes, your data should stay intact. I upgraded from OL97 through OL2003 with
the same data store (including an OS upgrade in the mix)
