the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, John asked:

For all Outlook versions on Windows XP (note, this article is written
for OE but the solution applies to Outlook as well. Just ignore the parts
that refer to OE):

I have the same problem, and have tried to follow the instructions on the
webpage.

but the problem is..
Double-click the Protected Storage System Provider key to expand the key,
click the user subkey folder that is directly below the Protected Storage
System >Provider key, click Delete on the Edit menu, and then click Yes in
the warning >message dialog box.
The user subkey folder looks similar to the following example:
S-1-5-21-124525095-708259637-1543119021-16701

this does not exist in my registry, there is only a *Local Machine*
subdirectory, and nothing else. and just a default key in it.
so everywhere i read, i cant find anything that can help me, cause there is
nothing there in the folder, no subkey or anything that can help me to
remember the password.

I use German GUI. Terms may not be adequate.

If you use SMTP authentication, set it to 'Login
as/Username/Password'. Do not use 'Same as POP...)
