Outlook XP Not saving sent e-mails in sent file

My office XP outlook does not save my sent messages into
my sent file. The options menu has the save sent messages
box checked

In the last few days, the messages I send out are not saved on the "Sent" folder. This happened only in the last few days
Any suggestions where they are or how I can have them saved on the Sent folde
