Outlook XP Pro, send/receive problem

Hi, I installed the Outlook 2004 beta program demo and
uninstalled it after it expired. Now my Outlook XP Pro
(which I had before I installed the beta) will not send
and receive email when I click the send/receive button on
the toolbar - it says "Operation Failed", with no
indication of what the problem is. I can only send and
receive by going to "tools < send/receive < and clicking
on my account name. Similarly, the auto check email
function will not work anymore...

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Office suite and
I also tried repairing the installation, but neither
fixed anything. Any Ideas??
