Outlook XP running slow

Has anyone seen there outlook start to run slow? All
actions; opening mail, deleting mail, selectiong a mail
folder... eveerything takes forever

If you have instant messaging enabled under Tools->options->Other, uncheck
it and see if the performance improves.

I've noticed a big slowdown in the past month or so while
using access, especially when designing queries. (A co-
worker just said he's seen the same slowdown in other
office products recently.) Mouse becomes temporarily
unresponsive. I've found that if I open task manager, cpu
use is at 100% but drops immediately. As long as I leave
task manager open, generally no problem.
