Outlook XP takes long to open attachments

Outlook XP takes long to open attachments. Even when they
really small in size attachments. It will eventually open
the attachment but it takes a least about 5 minutues to
open an attachment of 12k in size.

I am using the exchange service.

Any idea why this happens?

Yes, you need to update it:

Don't even ask why this update fixes the problem with attachments opening
slow, but it does.
