I have XP home edition and was using Outlook Express.
I now wish to use Outlook, but when i try to create an
account in Outlook it won't let me.
I guess it's because i have Outlook Express set as my
Default mail handler.
How can i default to Outlook, still retaining my outlook
adress pop 3 account?

Define "won't let me". WHat exactly do you do to try to create it and what
exactly are the responses you get?

Nope. That has nothing to do with it.
