Outlook2000 Mail not sent immediately

I have a remote user on a dial-up connection who uses Outlook2000.
Installed in CorporateMode. Internet Mail only.

He gets about a 28k connection - but downloads his mail fine. Maintains the
connection and is set to check for new mail every 2 minutes - which he does.

Ok - so he types up a new email - clicks send and it goes to his outbox.
And it stays there - even when he gets new mail - until he manually presses
the Send/Recieve button. Then the message goes.

I have checked and the settings appear ok. This does not appear to happen
on a LAN connection - though I have not tested that to be sure.
