How can I change a "owner" to a project so the information
on the web goes to the right project owner ??

In Project Server, the Owner of the project is the person who initially
saved the project in the Project Server database. The Manager of the
project is the person who published the project to PWA by clicking
Collaborate - Publish - All Information. In your situation, I believe you
will need to change the Manager of the project, but depending on your
company's Project Server security settings, you folks may also need to
change the Owner as well.

To change the Owner, your Project Server Administrator will need to do the
following:

1. Log into PWA with Administrator permissions
2. Click the Project menu
3. Select any cell for the project in question (excpet the Project Name
cell)
4. Click the Edit Project Details button
5. Select the new Owner of the project and click the Save and Close button

Once the Project Server Administrator has changed the Owner of the project,
the new owner of the project will need to become the Manager of the project
by doing the following:

1. Open Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server
2. Click File - Open and open the project in question
3. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
4. Select the "Become the manager for these assignments" checkbox and click
OK

After completing these steps, all Task Updates from team members will be
sent to the new Owner/Manager of the project. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone

I am in the process of installing MSP 2002 Enterprise and
have found that I cannot transfer ownership of plans to
different plan managers. Is there a fix for this problem
or does anyone have a good work around. I suspect that
this is not the first time the question has been asked

Thanks in advance
Graham.
