I am struggling to get my page so that it looks right in
all resolutions. My computer operates at 1024 x 768 and
the page looks fine but when I look at it on 800 x 600 it
goes all over the place!! What can I do so that it looks
ok in all resolutions?

I'm new to all this so don't have a clue!!!

Would appreciate any advice!

Develope your pages within a table set to 100% size. Your
page will then adapt as the resolution changes

Sally,
This is one of those questions that when asked you will
get multiple solutions. With that said here is what I do
to keep the page looking good at 800*600 and 1024*768.

When you begin building a new page insert a table on the
page that is 700 pixels wide height to 600 pixels and
centered on the page. This will keep a buffer on the left
and right page edge regardless of the resolution
mentioned above. From there you can insert your design
tables and construct your page as desired. To help keep
consistancy in your page I would recommend placing all
your static images and info on this inital page and then
save it as a site template. Once you have this you can
simply keep duplicating the page as needed and placing
the information needed for the particular page. You can
see an example of this method at
http://www.server404.com:88 (only for MS Internet
Explorer)

Another point you might consider is to set your
developement machine to 800*600 resolution and working.
That way if it looks good at 800*600 it will look good at
1024*768...just dont forget to check it often.

Again, others will provide perhaps a better method but
the above is what I found to work for me.

Good Luck,
JCrowe
