Page X of Y reset

I have a document with two sections. The first section is just a cover page common to all my projects. Section two begins the pages specific to each project. Using section controls, I can reset the page number to 1 at the start of section 2 which is exactly what I want to do. But in my header I inserted Page X of Y. What I am seeing is that Y is the total number of pages INCLUDING the cover page. So at the end of a 7 page (excluding cover page), the header will read Page 7 of 8.

Is there any way to set the Page X of Y to display only the total number of pages in that section?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of the NUMPAGES field use a SECTIONPAGES field.
